Brand identity for Casa Milpa, a Mexican chef-led restaurant in Lisbon, where ancestral cooking meets the shared heritage of Mexico and Portugal.

BRANDING

The concept, Nuestras Raíces (Our Roots), was developed to capture the spirit of the brand: a celebration of belonging, craft, and the land that connects Mexico and Portugal. It draws from the milpa, the ancestral Mexican trio of crops (corn, beans and squash), and the shared Atlantic terroir between the two cultures. The graphic symbol interprets the three crops as interlocking organic forms, referencing both the harmony of the milpa and the geometric language of traditional Portuguese tiles. The identity spans logo, emblem, colour system, typography and brand guidelines.
